Base chain trading bots: MevX, Sigma and Maestro

Where the risk sits when trading on Base

On Base chain the bot is rarely what loses you money; the token is. Gas is cheap and launches come nonstop, but cheap gas makes it just as cheap for a dev to ship a honeypot.

All three bots here are non-custodial, so your keys stay yours, and all three route against sandwich attacks. Their extra layers differ:

All three trade Base chain for about 1% a trade, with copy trading, limit orders and multiple wallets. They split on chain count, fee elsewhere and the one feature each does best.

Bot settings that work on Base

Pick one setup, get good at it on one bot, then expand. All three bots run these five.

1. Launch snipe with preset filters. Fix buy size, slippage and gas priority before the launch. When liquidity hits Uniswap or Aerodrome, the bot fires. MevX's Instant Trade Mode and Maestro's Turbo Mode are built for this.
2. Copy smart wallets. Find a wallet that's consistently early on Base launches, then mirror its buys. Run Maestro's Track Only first to vet its behavior before copying live.

Optional: set up Maestro on Base

Six steps get Maestro sniping on Base chain. The clip shows wallet creation; the rest happens in Settings.

1. Open Maestro. Start @MaestroSniperBot and send /start; it asks you to create or import a wallet right away.
2. Create or import a wallet. Maestro generates an EVM wallet by default, or imports your private key. Keys are AES-encrypted. Never share yours, even with "support".
3. Select Base. In Settings, set Base as your trading chain. Routing then defaults to Aerodrome and Uniswap V2/V3.
4. Fund it with ETH on Base. Send ETH on the Base network, not Ethereum mainnet, unless you bridge first: same asset, different network. Keep a small gas buffer above your trade size.
5. Configure the sniper. Set buy size, slippage and gas priority, and turn Anti-Rug on. 5% to 15% slippage is typical for volatile Base launches; use Turbo Mode when speed matters.
